However, the time has come to look beyond treating urgent dental care needs and start planning for resumption of routine dental care and finding creative ways to care for dental patients who are reluctant to come to the dental office for the foreseeable future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00a0Dental professionals at Sterling Dental Clinic are very familiar with occupational health issues and corresponding risk assessments in order to reduce risk,<sup> `<\/sup>\u00a0and with applying Standard Precautions for minimizing spread of infection directly or through cross-contamination.Preventing the spread of SARS-CoV-2 requires new management strategies that may differ from those used to manage other diseases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"681\" src=\"https:\/\/www.sterlingdentalclinic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/sterling-dental-clinic-1024x681.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-73\" srcset=\"https:\/\/sterlingdentalclinic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/sterling-dental-clinic-1024x681.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/sterlingdentalclinic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/sterling-dental-clinic-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/sterlingdentalclinic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/sterling-dental-clinic-768x511.jpg 768w, https:\/\/sterlingdentalclinic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/sterling-dental-clinic-750x499.jpg 750w, https:\/\/sterlingdentalclinic.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/03\/sterling-dental-clinic.jpg 1270w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The majority of people infected with SARS-CoV-2 may have no symptoms. Hence, even asymptomatic dental patients should be considered as potential carriers and therefore, at <a href=\"https:\/\/sterlingdentalclinic.com\">Sterling Dental Clinic<\/a>,we have implemented a routine\u00a0screening process\u00a0for both patients and staff, to ensure that both symptomatic and recently exposed individuals stay home for the safety of all patients and dental team members.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The following safety and precautionary measures are adopted by\nSterling Dental Clinic to prevent the spread of the virus and provide risk-free\ndental treatments:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>We follow standard, contact, and airborne precautions including hand hygiene practice.<\/li><li>We have limited the number of dental healthcare providers (DHCP) present during the procedure to only those essential for patient care and procedure support. Visitors are limited to those who are necessary.<\/li><li>We disinfect surfaces with EPA-approved chemicals and maintain a dry environment.<\/li><li>We use N95 and 5ply masks.<\/li><li>Proper social distancing norms are followed in our clinic.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The COVID-19 pandemic presents several opportunities for dental\nresearchers to focus on key issues, developing and testing innovative\napproaches to minimize aerosol generation during dental procedures, testing and\nvalidating tele-dentistry models, and evaluating alternative dental workforce\nmodels, such as dental therapists.
