Root Canal Treatment: common questions
Is a root canal painful?+
The treatment is done under local anaesthesia and is usually no more uncomfortable than a filling. It relieves the pain the infection was causing. Sedation is available.

Will I need a crown afterwards?+
Most back teeth need a crown to protect them after root canal treatment. Your dentist will advise, and a CEREC crown can often be fitted the same day.
