If you are considering implants abroad, you have probably looked at more than one country. This guide compares the four most searched destinations fairly, including where India is not the obvious choice.

How to check a dentist in each country

What matters more than the country

  • The surgeon's experience with implants, and their registration.
  • A CBCT scan and digital plan before surgery.
  • A recognised, internationally distributed implant system, with records you keep.
  • An itemised written quote, and an honest timeline.
  • A clear aftercare plan once you are home (what your dentist needs).

Our safety checklist works for any clinic, in any country.

Frequently asked questions

Is India or Turkey better for dental implants?+

Both have excellent clinics. Turkey is a shorter flight from the UK; India can suit patients with family there, patients from the Gulf, and those who want an experienced implant surgeon and fixed full-arch teeth from the first visit. Compare the clinic, not just the country.

Why are implant prices in Turkey or Mexico lower than in the UK or USA?+

Mainly lower running and staff costs, as in India. Published prices vary widely and often exclude items, so compare itemised quotes.

How do I check if a dentist abroad is registered?+

Each country has a register: the Turkish Dental Association, Mexico's SEP professional licence, the Dental Council of Thailand, and the Dental Council of India through state councils.

This guide is general information, not a diagnosis or treatment plan. Whether implants suit you, and what they will cost, depends on a clinical examination and 3D scan. Prices are indicative and are confirmed in writing before any treatment.
